Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Vale Community Partners and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 493 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with food distribution. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
