Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Greenridge Quarry Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Hartford, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
