Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bluepeak Forge Telecom provides broadband and phone service around New Orleans, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
