Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright Clear Energy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
