Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Amberfield Kestrel Community Partners is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in St. Louis. • We reply to every applicant.
