Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Highbridge Haven Insurance is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 758 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
