Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Highbridge Lantern Community Partners runs community programmes across Grand Rapids, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
