Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Willow Early Learning Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
