Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Clearpath West Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Austin focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about service installations into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
