Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright Keystone Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Chicago focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about customer tickets into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
