Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Lumen North Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Boise, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 82 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
