Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Ironwood Clear Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Seattle region. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
