Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Timber Learning Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Families are partners. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about student accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
