Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Philadelphia, PA)

Nova North Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Philadelphia. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
