Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Orlando, FL)

Westbrook Fox Insurance is an insurance company in Orlando with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
