Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Minneapolis, MN)

Ironwood North Insurance is an insurance company in Minneapolis with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Minneapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
