Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Bright Willow Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Miami. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
