Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Memphis, TN)

Highbridge West Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about accessibility audits into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
