Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Madison, WI)

Lumen Timber Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Madison. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Families are partners. What you will do • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
