Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Jackson, MS)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Bright Community Partners Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with grant reporting. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
