Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Grand Rapids, MI)

Northwind Hollow Telecom is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for network equipment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about network equipment into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
