Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Grand Rapids, MI)

Highbridge Field Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Grand Rapids, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
