Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Redstone Umber Facilities and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with cleaning schedules. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
