Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Fort Worth, TX)

Foxglove Quarry Energy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for meter readings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
