Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Fort Worth, TX)

Fernwood West Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Fort Worth region. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
