Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Colorado Springs, CO)

Bright Corner Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Colorado Springs area. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
