Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Chicago, IL)

Bright Union Health Partners is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for referrals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about referrals into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with referrals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
