Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Baltimore, MD)

Harborlight Granite Financial serves customers across Baltimore with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about loan applications into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
