Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Albuquerque, NM)

Bright Orchard Energy is an energy provider in Albuquerque focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 278 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
