Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (Rochester, NY)

Clearpath Orchard Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Rochester working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about ridership counts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
