Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (Rochester, NY)

Fernwood Beacon Financial Group serves customers across Rochester with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about vendor spend into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
