Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (Richmond, VA)

Harborlight Vale Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Richmond, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Turn requests about clinical evaluations into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with clinical evaluations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
