Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Bluepeak Harbor Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Jackson area, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
