Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Westbrook Ember Water Authority is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
