Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Lumen Telecom is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for outage reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
