Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Fern Transit Planning and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of about 866 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
