Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Pike Water Authority and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Nashville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
