Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (Charlotte, NC)

Greenridge Oak Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 127 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Turn requests about fare systems into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
