Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (Austin, TX)

Ironwood Cobalt Early Learning runs childcare centres in Austin caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Austin. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
