Senior Software Engineer - mobile experience (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Bright Fox Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Turn requests about catastrophe response into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
