Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Wichita, KS)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Wren Energy Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 64 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
