Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Tucson, AZ)

Greenridge Wilder Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Tucson and nearby communities, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about capital projects into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
