Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (St. Louis, MO)

Cedar Stone Telecom Group builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the St. Louis area, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with field visits. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
