Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Fern Transit Planning and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
