Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Seattle, WA)

Redstone Kestrel Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Seattle. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on internal tools. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about catastrophe response into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
