Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Seattle, WA)

Bright Quill Legal Group Partners provides legal services in Seattle across employment, housing and small-business law. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on internal tools. We are a close group and share the work. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about intake forms into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with intake forms. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
