Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Rochester, NY)

Nova Timber Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Rochester, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
