Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Rochester, NY)

Westbrook Maple Financial serves customers across Rochester with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on internal tools. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about loan applications into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
