Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Cedar Inspection Services and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about scheduling into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
