Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Nova Union Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Fort Worth focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on internal tools. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Turn requests about customer tickets into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
